Fevers and Crazy Hats

Another fever...another hospital visit...another round of antibiotics.  Is this getting old to you too?

Besides having a temperature above 102 for 48 hours, Jace was feeling the worst about missing his "HAT DAY for CAT in the HAT" at school.  Since he couldn't make it to school to enjoy the fun, we brought the fun to our house.  Thank you everyone for turning what could have been a "sad fever night" into an evening of laughs and smiles and crazy hats!

  1. Amy, am praying Jace is soon back to his old self and this crazy bump in the road passes quickly.....loved your way of making him feel apart of his special day of school....Devin loved hats....he got to pick a new one to wear each time he lost his hair from chemo :) but most of the time he didn't wear them just collected them, he didn't care if anyone saw his bald head... and i loved looking at it :)hug that feverish lil guy of yours for me....and know you are in my heart to....

  2. Dayt and Gabby loved the party. Thanks for inviting them into the fun. They have been missing Jace with everyone being sick. Can't wait for the warm weather to get these sick bugs out of here. That and I'm wanting a little Vitamin D.

  4. Wonderful hats, Jace! Sammy finds it hard when he misses fun events at school but there will be many more and it looks like you had a blast anyway. You are an awesome kid and an inspiration for Sammy.

  5. Love the hats! Great to have such wonderful support!

We understand being tired of fevers. Evan is battling that right now. It must be something in the air. We are praying for both Jace and Evan to get better!

  8. I am friends with Kevin and Jody Adams, they told me about your blog. My nephew, Dane, was just diagnosed this morning with leukemia. We are all so concerned. It has been heart-warming and enlightening to read your blog about Jace. What an inspiring young man. I think I will pass this blog on to my brother and his family so they can get an idea of what his next years of life will be like. Thank you for sharing your story.
